3 steps to install HiberHilo in the jungle.

Article · 3 min read

Assets in the jungle? Then you know how challenging it can be to monitor them. From the remoteness of the location, to the moist conditions of the environment, installing well and pipeline tech in hot and or swampy areas comes with its own unique set of challenges.

That's where HiberHilo comes in. It's a cost-effective and user-friendly monitoring solution for oil and gas companies that operates in even the harshest jungle conditions. HiberHilo delivers accurate, reliable, and up-to-date information from remote sites directly to an online dashboard that you can access any time, anywhere in the world.

One of the best parts? HiberHilo is affordable, and your crew can install it themselves. No need for expensive specialists. In this article, we'll walk you through the high-level idea of how installations work in the jungle.

#1: Plan your installation.

Before you start the installation, you need a comprehensive plan. Our team will use the coordinates of your assets to perform a thorough analysis of the best locations for each gateway. We'll also check the strength of the LoRa signals in the area to make sure the sensors on your wells or pipelines can communicate with the gateway.

At the end of this phase, you will have a detailed installation plan with the suggested number of gateways for your location, and a map of where the gateways should be set up. It’s a fully transparent process, and we’ll show you exactly how we determined where hardware should be installed.

#2: Attend the online installation training.

Once you have the installation plan in place, it’s time to train your crew to install HiberHilo. Before you head out into the jungle, we'll host a virtual meeting to cover the installation process step by step.

The ultimate goal: get your team comfortable with the installation process in a controlled environment so they can perform it in a matter of hours out in the field. At the end of the training they’ll know exactly where (and how) to install the sensors and gateways.

#3: Support on the big day.

To ensure a successful installation, we offer online assistance on the big day. While your crew is in the field, we’ll be on standby, closely monitoring the installation to make sure all the sensors and gateways are connected. If we see something isn’t performing how we expected, we’ll let you know immediately, and give insight on how to solve the issue. All that means you can be up and running in just a few hours.
